These photos are of barns in 12 states that vary from 8x8 inches to 15x24 inches. They are painted ink-jet photographs shot in a hit-or-miss fashion while traveling, rather like the early aerial acrobats that barnstormed across the country. Barns, from tobacco to dairy to horse, are ubiquitous on the landscape and please the eye, seeming to exist outside the space/time continuum.
